In 2019, very first Hot Air Balloon Fest has organized at Cappadocia by Municipality of Urgup in Turkey. The main concept was to contribute to the tourism flow there and make tourists to have fun. At this year, 20 different balloons from 11 countries have participated to the hot air balloon Cappadocia festival.

Several countries are joining to the event from all around the world. Unfortunately, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, France could not join to the hot air balloon festival because of the pandemic situation in this year, but they were a part of this event in 2019.

Different events are organized during the festival like workshops, concerts, DJ performances etc. Most famous music bands are performing at the festival. In 2021, only 2 countries can join to the fest but this number will increase in the next ones.

Event flow continues with balloon rising at the first and second day. There will be a Night Glow with laser shows. After the show, DJ Emrah Karaduman and brand named Kolpa will be performing. 3rd day will be based on Victory Day which is a Turkish National Holiday.

It is expected that Cappadocia Balloon Fest will be most popular balloon festival in the world only in a few years since it is intensively promoted on social media by companies like The Marketing Heaven. With the normalization processes of countries, more and more countries will join to the next festivals.
