This is a journey takes you to the heart of the most popular attractions of Turkey in 5 days. You catch an early flight to Cappadocia to spend 2 full days exploring underground citites, rock-cut cave churches, fairy chimneys and more. An evening flight takes you to Izmir. Historic sites and the ruins of Ephesus and Hierapolis ancient cities are the focus of your 2 full days in the western part of Turkey. Pamukkale, the natural beauty formed by hot springs, is the last stop before heading back to your Istanbul hotel with an evening flight.

This tour involves walking and hiking in Cappadocia, sometimes on rocky or slippery terrain. You need comfortable sturdy shoes. Please kindly remember that you can skip the hikes if you don’t feel up to them.
October to May, temperatures can be quite cool in the evening especially in Cappadocia. You might think to bring some warm layers as the hotels central heating systems are not in the same standards in every hotel.
It gets hot in summer in Turkey. While it is normally a dry heat in Cappadocia, it can be humid in Ephesus and Pamukkale.

Itinerary

DAY 1Northern Cappadocia Tour (Lunch included)

We pick you up from your hotel at an early hour and transfer you to the airport to take flight to Cappadocia. You will need to go to the counter to do self-check-in at the airport. When you arrive at Cappadocia airport, the driver will greet you by holding a sign with your name on it and transfer you to join the Northern Cappadocia Tour. The tour covers the visits to the highlights of Cappadocia such as

Goreme Panorama: the stunning panoramic view point of Goreme village
Goreme Open Air Musuem: one of the largest monastery complex of Cappadocia region.
Ortahisar: a traditional village with its natural rock fortres and rock-cut storage.
Pasabagi: one of the well known picturesque fairy chimney valley.
Devrent Valley: the valley that gives you the impression that animals are petrified in the rocks.
Red River: the longest river of Turkey where they red clay from the old river beds.
Avanos: a traditional village and homeland of pottery where you have the chance to see how it is made. If you wish, you can even try to make one!

On the way back to the hotel, we will pass through the Love Valley with an incredible view of fairy chimneys.

End of the tour, transfer to the hotel and free time. Overnight in Cappadocia.

DAY 2Southern Cappadocia Tour (Breakfast- Lunch included)

Hot Air Balloon Tour is optional for this day and early reservation is highly recommended.

Pick up from hotel around 09:30-09:45 by the tour guide and join the Southern Cappadocia Tour. Visiting Uchisar Castle which is the biggest fairy chimney used as a fortress by many civilizations. Hiking about 4 km in Red Valley and passing through Rose Valley by exploring rock churches which saved early Christians from Roman prosecution. Arriving to Cavusin village as an ancient settlement of the region and you may see its cave residences. Midday, lunch break in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visiting Kaymaklı Underground City as the widest of the Cappadocia and it was used by refugees or people running away from catastrophes. Pigeon Valley offers a nice view over Uchisar Castle and it has pigeons still living in pigeon houses. The last visit to Three Beauties Valley which is famous with its vine factories and stunning view. End of the tour, transfer to the hotel.

At the end of the tour our guests are treated with a traditional hand-made carpet demonstration, the ones that are not interested are kindly requested to inform the tour guide.

DAY 3From Cappadocia to Ephesus (Breakfast included)

After breakfast at the hotel, free time to explore Cappadocia on your own. According to your flight time, pick up from your hotel and transfer to airport to take a flight to Izmir. After you arrive in Izmir, pick up by our agent and transfer you to hotel in Kusadasi. Free time and overnight stay.

DAY 4Ephesus Tour (Breakfast- Lunch included)

After breakfast at the hotel pick up by the tour guide around 09:00-09:30 am and starting to Ephesus Tour. Visits to Artemis Temple which used to be one of the 7 wonders of ancient world, Ephesus Ancient City, Hadrian Temple, Celcius Library, Theater, Hamams and Old Harbor. Midday, lunch break in a local restaurant. Last visit to House of Virgin Mary where Virgin Mary spent her last 5 years before she died and recognized as a pilgrimage place by Vatican. End of the tour, transfer to hotel for free time and overnight stay.

DAY 5Pamukkale Tour (Breakfast- Lunch included)

After breakfast at the hotel, the tour guide will pick you up around 08:00-08:30 am and you will join Pamukkale-Hierapolis Tour. Pamukkale has known for its hot springs, travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowingand cooling water. This action creates a cotton like shape. Hence Turkish people calls this place ‘Cotton Castle- Pamukkale’ . You will visit Hierapolis Ancient City and Necropolis as a Unesco World Heritage Site. This place used to be visited by people to alleviate their illness. You can also see Sarcophagus of Marcus Aurelius. Also, if you want, you can swim in Cleopatra Swimming Pool.

After the lunch break in a local restaurant , your tour ends there. You will be transferred to the airport to go back to Istanbul. After your arrival, you will be picked up by driver who hold a sign with your name on it and you will be transferred to your hotel. End of our service.
