What sites does 6 Day Turkey Tour cover ?

This is a journey takes you to the heart of the most popular attractions of Turkey in 6 days. Your first city to explore is the city of two continents; Istanbul. After Istanbul, you drive around 6 hours to reach Gallipoli where the “Battle of Gentlemen” took place. You will have time to visit the WWI memorials before embarking the car-ferry for Canakkale. Next day journey is to Troy and Pergamom ancient citites. Historic sites and the ruins  of Ephesus are the focus of your last day in the western part of Turkey before heading back to Istanbul.

Itinerary

DAY 1Arrival in Istanbul, Transfer to Hotel with overnight in Istanbul

Transfer to your hotel upon your arrival in Istanbul and the rest of the day will be free for you to see the city by your own first.

Overnight in Istanbul

DAY 2Istanbul Old City Tour with overnight in Istanbul (Breakfast and Lunch)

After the breakfast at hotel around 8:30 am, we will pick you up from hotel to start the tour.

You will be picked up from your hotel to begin the full-day tour. At this tour you will visit Hagia Sophia Museum, Byzantine Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar. There will be lunch will at a local restaurant. After the tour, you will be accompanied to your hotel.

Overnight in Istanbul

Topkapı Palace is closed Tuesday, and Hagia Sophia is closed Monday

DAY 3Gallipoli Tour (Breakfast and Lunch)

You will be picked up by the driver around 06:30-07:00 am and you will depart to Gallipoli. With a 5 hour drive you will arrive Gallipoli. You will visit Memorials of Dardanelles, Brighton Beach, Beach Cemetery, ANZAC Cove, Ariburnu Cemetery, ANZAC Commemorative Site, Respect to Mehmetcik Statue, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Johnstons Jolly (Turkish and Allied trenches and tunnels), Turkish 57. Infantry Regiment Cemetery, The Nek, Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial.  As it hosted many Turkish and ANZAC soldiers, Gallipoli peninsula has an historical and spiritual importance both for Turks and Australians and New Zealanders. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkish Republic, honoured the soldiers by building memorials on their names. Famous “Letter to the Mothers of ANZACS” written by Ataturk is inscribed to a memorial to welcome the visitors.

You will have your lunch break in a local restaurant.  The tour ends here and we will have a night over at Çanakkale.

Overnight in Canakkale

DAY 4Troy & Peragmum Tour (Breakfast and Lunch)

You will have check out of the hotel in Canakkale after breakfast. You will be picked up by the tour guide around 08:30-08:45 am. Then you will join the Troy and Pergamum Tour. Tour begins with Troy ,sightseeing of 10 ancient cities built on top of each other, which includes Apollo Temple, fortified city walls, Roman Theater, Greco-Roman Senate building.

After seeing Troy, you will drive to Pergamum Ancient City which had one of the most important libraries in the ancient world and Zeus Altar. You will have your lunch break in a local restaurant. Then you can drive to Kusadasi. After you arrive Kuşadası, you will be transferred to hotel for your overnight stay.

Overnight in Kusadasi / Selcuk

DAY 5Ephesus Tour (Breakfast and Lunch)

After breakfast at the hotel, the tour guide will pick you up around 09:00-09:30 am and you will start the Ephesus Tour. This tour visits Artemis Temple which used to be one of the 7 wonders of ancient world, Ephesus Ancient City, Hadrian Temple, Celcius Library, Theater, Hamams and Old Harbor. After the lunch break in a local restaurant, your tour ends with a visit to the House of Virgin Mary. In this place, Virgin Mary spent her last five years, then she was recognized as a pilgrimage place by Vatican. After that, you will arrive your hotel.

 

Overnight in Kusadasi / Selcuk

 

DAY 6Kusadasi / Selcuk – Hotel check-out and End of Service (Breakfast)

After breakfast at your hotel, you will check out of your hotel from Kusadasi  at around 12:00 pm. After check out from the hotel, you will be accompanied to the Kusadasi / Izmir bus station to reach Kusadasi port or Izmir airport.
